I want to start this post off with a confession…. for the past month or so I honestly haven’t had a single thing to blog about. In all honesty there wasn’t a single thing worth blogging about. I wasn’t really up to much of anything. Although I was hoping to get going at Dixie this Fall, tuition/residency issues pushed that back to the spring semester. However it is giving me a chance to work and save up some extra dough before it starts.
One of the main reasons that I feel like I have something to blog about is that I actually have some good news! I recently auditioned for the Fall Musical at Dixie State called “The Baker’s Wife”, and I was fortunate enough to make it into the show as the The Village Butcher, Barnaby! The show is a comedy and from the one week of rehearsals I can already tell that it will be a fantastic show! So I was thinking….. since most of my family is now close by…. that I expect to see you all there on opening night. The show runs November 11th-20th. So save the date and I hope to see you there! Eh!
In other news(and as posted on Pete and Sheri’s Blog) Tasha, Pete, and myself ran the Swiss Days 10K. It was a really good run and I managed a time of an hour and six minutes…. not the best time… but considering my knee shoots horrible pain up my leg and that the dinner we ate the previous night was hefty, and I ate way more than I should have. I am also trying to train for the Las Vegas Marathon…. which is only a few months away. At this point I have no idea if I will be ready. Two years ago I wouldn’t even have signed up… it seems weird to me that I lost the weight almost two years ago. In fact it flew by, but it never gets easier. Two years ago my weight was around 230 and then it dropped to 175 6 months after that…. and then for a year and a half, I was able to stay around the 175-185 mark. Right now I am unhappy to report that I am probably at a good 195… which royally sucks! So as I train for the marathon I have other goals in mind….. get back into shape. One of the main reasons I think I haven’t been as good was Tasha’s move to Midway. She was my workout buddy! I hate going to the gym alone, I like to have somewhere there with me! It is more motivating in my eyes. Although, today starts my new “Fall Schedule”: Early Morning Gym, Work, Rehearsal, Run…. so…… I am prepared to be tired. Very tired.
