Acting Once Again

It feels great to be in front of an audience performing. It has been a complete year since Beauty and the Beast and for me… it has been way to long. Opening night was stressful and exciting. We managed to block a major scene just minutes before the house opened to the audience. Although, as the shows go forward it becomes more and more flawless and slick.

19th Birthday

Yesterday was my 19th Birthday and it was a good one. It was a really busy, but still good.

I started the day out by waking up at 3:55 A.M to get ready and head over to Spokane to be on the the news.
A couple of the cast members from Joseph were there and we sang to promote the show. After that we headed to Starbucks and got some breakfast and then I headed home. I got some movies ( The Reader, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and some cool shorts. My parents want me to pick something else out… but I don’t know what. I am thinking of maybe asking for tickets for the Utah Shakespearean Festival.

I then headed back over to Spokane for a Dress Rehearsal for the show. My friends over there made my Birthday good. I got a few presents and then we rehearsed for 5 hours. Then I headed home… and went off to bed.

Here are some pictures of the news. We went on two different days to two different stations. The video is from the broadcast yesterday.

KHQ Morning News

I had the opportunity to appear on the news again with the production Joseph. The last time was for Beauty and the Beast. It was another fun experience… and who doesn’t like to be on the news eh? We also get to appear on the other news channel on the 2oth so I am looking forward to that as well.

In the Video:

Aaron Baldwin-Joseph
Jessi Little-Narrator
Kayla Erb-Narrator
Bryant Larsen- Brother “Reuben”
Maggie Segalla- Wife
David Olson- Brother
Laura Little- Director

I just wanted to post some pictures. These just so happen to be some pictures I found while looking through my files. I was completely disgusted with these particular two. I guess I never realized how big I had been getting… these two pictures were at Ashland, Oregon at the Summer Seminar.

Idaho Update

I just wanted to write a little about the happenings here in Northern Idaho.

I have been very busy with rehearsals for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The show opens in two weeks. I am more nervous about this show opening than any other I have been in. The amount of dancing and singing that is required is insane. How the show is written, there are no lines of dialogue. The entire show consists of music and dance. I personally am not a huge fan of that kind of show. I like to have moments of dramatic lines. I just hope the show comes together in the end and that it turns out to be as amazing as some think it will be.

I am getting worried about LAMDA. I have to have my tuition before June. 1st and thats not a long time. I filed my FAFSA so hopefully I get some money back from that. I will also be applying for a Student Loan through Bank of America. I don’t want to miss this opportunity and it would be disappointing if I had to….

It is still pretty cold up here. In the high 50’s most week. There are the days with the occasionally 60-70 degree weather. I just hope it gets warm pretty fast! I just want to be able to go swimming in the lakes and go out on the boat, and not worry about being freezing in the middle of May.

I just got home from a fun night of theatre! Me and Micah Hanson( Belle) went to go see Spamalot over in Spokane. Spamalot is the musical version of , “Monty Phython and the Holy Grail.” If you are not familiar with the movie, I highly recommend it! The Musical was by far the most fun I have had at a show. It not only was as funny as the movie but the music is highly addictive. “Always look on the bright side of life.. do do …do do…do do…do do.” The show mixes the modern with the classical tale of King Arthur and his quest for the Holy Grail. From the moment the show started to the moment it ended, I was laughing hysterically. The opening number of the show is called, “Fish Slapping Song.” The cast mistakingly take England to mean Finland. The “Fish Slapping Song” is a way to court a girl… by slapping her in the face with a herring. The show just grows in wackiness and hilarity. Mid way through a song called “Knights of the Round Table” appears. To describe this number I want you to now visualize what Camelot looks like to you. NOW! Forget about that image. This show turns Camelot into Vegas. Flashy Lights, Gambling, and yes Strippers ( who come out wearing full chain-mail and armor). Some of the highlights of the show included the performance by the woman who played the Lady of the Lake. She had a powerful voice and it was fun to hear. Also the performance by the one and only John O’ Hurley… or as you may know him… ” J. Peterman” from Seinfield. Thats right! J, Peterman was playing King Arthur. He gave a hilarious performance… and had a surprisingly good voice.

I recommend for anyone to see it, and to buy the CD and take a listen.
