Of course the second picture I am flexing so it obviously is going to look diffrent!
But I sure do see a difference. My weigh in today put me at 206.4. That is down from 219 when I weighed in on January 1st. This puts my January weight loss as of January 30th at 12.6 lbs. I have also lowered my by BMI from 29 % body fat to 26.49%. I am shooting for 20lbs more lost by Mid-March. I also hope to have a BMI of 22%!
Updating about it keeps me motivated and gives me goals to work towards.
So I weighed myself again today. I am down to 208. I find this pretty exciting. So in 25 days of using the Wii Fit with a better diet and various other exercise I have lost 11 pounds. At the height of my weight I believe I crushed the earth at 232. Then it just started going away, but it stopped around 220. I have been 220 for two years now probably. I hope to weigh 190 and have a BMI( Body Max Index) of 22-24 by March)-Quick little story: Every since working at Tj Maxx I spell Max with two xx’s. I has become very annoying. The Wii Fit has been a very useful tool. I suggest it to everyone. I find I like the strength exercises the most; push ups, sit ups, planks, lunges. Although the aerobic exercises that it offers are good like the running one. I think the most fun one is aerobic Advanced Step. It is like dance and I keep getting better at it and it just may improv my balance and dance skills. My family got the Wii and Wii Fit from my Grandma Warren for Christmas so thanks to her I am getting in Shape. : D Thanks Grandma!! For the next three days I wasn’t schedules to work so I am planing on hitting the gym hard and working on my monologues for my LAMDA audition. Tonight I am planning out my meal schedule for the week as well. I have been good about eating now for the last two weeks. I keep my calories under 2,100 and I eat only the more healthy things. My favorite snack during work is an Apple and 18 Almonds. So many people work out while listening to their ipods. I do the same thing, but found it hard to keep my mind on the music if it was so fast paced or modern. So while everyone else in the world listens to the current top 10 list I listen to my favorite film scores. It keeps my mind away from the workout and I get more done. While I listen Imagine what the song represents and where in a play it could fit in. I just like to keep my mind in creative form. So while I am working out my body, I am working out my creative brain. It really is Win-Win.
I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stious.
Well some pretty exciting stuff has been going on lately. Most importantly I have a new niece. Pretty soon Ty and Sloan are going to be able to have their own baseball team with all the babies they keep having. I think it is pretty cool that they have three kids already. I like being an Uncle. I can’t wait to see Josie Maiz! I don’t know when I will be able to, but it has to be soon.
For my whole life I have been called Boo by the family. Now, Bodie and Jett call me Uncle Boo. So I guess I won’t be growing out of that nickname. I am actually thinking of using it as an acting name: Boo Bryant Larsen, Boo Larsen, Bryant Boo Larsen. Boo just stands out a little more. Although having Clair in my name draws attention to me. OR! I was thinking of going by Lord Rupert Everett and I will breed Fancy dogs. The names people remember are the simple ones like; OJ, Hitler, Stalin, Saddam, Obama… Everyone knows them just by their one syllable name. So perhaps I could go that approach. OR! I was thinking of elongating my name. This would also draw attention to my name. Example: Bryant Clair Theodore Cartwright Algernon Larsen. I am completely undecided at this time and I know I am going to need a lot more time to make my decision. It is a matter of failure or achievement.
I was doing some research on LAMDA today. I found out that quit a few of the most talented actors graduated from there. Ian Mcklean who played Gandalf in Lord of the Rings was a LAMDA graduate and he happens to be one of my favorite actors. I have a dvd of him and Dame Judy Dench in a Royal Shakespeare Company production of Macbeth. It is one of my favorite acting pieces. Kevin Kline also studied there for a year. At LAMDA Kline played Cyrano in Cyrano De Bergerac and then went on to play that part on Broadway. My audition is in 18 days. I believe my mom has bought the plane tickets so the whole thing is a GO!
To those who care about my weight loss. I am down to 211 now. So I have lost around 9 pounds.
I have finally picked the two pieces I am using for my LAMDA audition. I am doing the scene I performed at the Christmas Party two years ago. That one is Cyrano de Bergerac and I am also using the same piece i used with that at state. The other piece is called the Cripple of Inishman. I have to have two pieces that are under three minutes each and are contrasting. One has to be Elizabethan or Jacobian and the other more Modern(after 1899). They also have to contrast in the area of Comedic and Dramatic. I also find that they contrast on a higher level due to the nature of the stories. In Cyrano, he is dealing with a deformity of the face-large nose-that makes him have a rather unfortunate social disability. While Inishman deals with a young man who suffers from physical disabilities of the arm and leg. The two pieces give insight on how one can handle dealing with their disabilities. Cyrano accepts his in a way and is willing to fight to protect his dignity. While in Inishman the young man is heart broken and hates every bit of his disability. When he goes to audition for a movie that calls for a crippled boy he is not cast. The boy who gets the part is physically healthy boy. The director at one point tells him, “Its better to have a normal boy who can act crippled, than a crippled boy who can’t bloody act at all.” This brings out the hurt that he has always experienced to a new level and he begins to wonder why he is even alive.
I feel like they are strong pieces. I just have to work a lot on them and perfect them.
This is something new I am going to start to do. It is my Weight Loss/Informative video Blogs. Comment and tell me what you think. I am also going to try and get some ideas for a show of some sort that I can update every week. Perhaps like a Documentary of my life.
Good Grief! Its Gone Far Enough!- There is lots of sadness and grief in the world but there is also Good Grief… just ask Charlie Brown.
