Lake City Playhouse History

I found this on Enternet its the history ot Lake City Playhouse, it is pretty cool.

The Lake City Playhouse was the brainchild of a dedicated theatre patron, Ami Lewis de Gremli. With the assistance of small businesses, organizations and a small group of individuals, her dream became a reality with the first production of Harvey in 1961. The first years’ productions were presented at the Junior High School, North Idaho College, and the Eagles and Elks facilities. In 1962, the theatre found a temporary home in Hayden Lake. In 1966, the theatre staged it’s first performance at the former Latter Day Saints Church at 14th and Garden, where we are housed today. With the launch of a fundraiser, the church was purchased and became our permanent home in 1966.

It was the first LDS church in Couer D’ Alene.

I didn’t know that.
